I am a member of the New Zealand Professional Guides For Trout Fishing and has guided anglers for the past 20 years.
I welcome any excuse to take others into wilderness areas to take rainbow and brown trout from fresh water using every legitimate method from fly and dry fishing to nymphing.

that overlooks a trophy trout lake at Tuai, inland from Wairoa.

A 4 Wheel Drive Nissan would be driven to your destination and pulls my boat Fryan 600 to where ever we want to fish.
Of course all the fish are sighted
before they are caught - ranging from

I consider it to be the 12th wonder of the world because of its scenic values. The peace and tranquillity along with spectacular brown and rainbow trout fishing make it the closest thing to paradise on earth.

River Ruakituri
Has Rainbow and Brown of good fighting quality, can be caught on dry fly and nymphing.

River Motu
Has Brown only and require some expertise and experience of angler.

River Waioeka
Has Rainbow only, is not reliant on so much experience.
